This position is responsible for supporting the plant to ensure vans are built timely and accurately. Responsibilities include cutting, fitting, installation, and wrapping panels and component.
Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities
- Measure and mark for areas to be cut
- Cutting metal for accessories
- Measure, cut and fit paneling for vans, properly align fabric to panels
- Install panels in vans
- Placing overhead cabinets and galleys in assigned location
- Operate glue spray gun
- Plumbing and electrical connections.
- Make sure all tolerances are met or exceeded “No Gaps”
- Using hand and power tools to build assemblies
- Cut materials such as fabric and foam
- Ensure quality standards are met on all parts/ pieces
- Maintain a clean area and positive work environment
- Follow instructions and communicate with teammates
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications (Education & Experience)
- Ability to operate different tools, such as palm and belt sander, razor blades/knife, staple gun, air saw, measuring tape, saw table and routers
- Ability to take basic measurements
- Light woodworking skills/experience with light power tools
- Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Experience with use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Problem solving, systems and method improvements skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
