Oly

This adventurous couple and their mini Bernedoodle are about to live full-time in their van, Oly, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170! After years of planning, saving, plotting, and mapping, their first stop, fittingly, is to Olympic National Park in Washington State. From there, they plan to travel clockwise, enjoying New England in the autumn and Southern states in the winter.

Using Sileather’s Mustang Winter on the walls and Premier Cloud on the ceiling create a clean and tranquil interior. Sunbrella’s Seville Seaside and Dupione Deep Sea fabric wrapped on custom bench seats add to the cozy aesthetic. Unique to Oly is an extra-large 54” galley. This easily accommodates internal storage drawers, a dual induction stove, garbage, and recycling bins, a Vitrifigo DW180 RFX Stainless Steel Double Drawer, and a rectangular deep under-mount sink with top mounted faucet. This pair can rest easy at night on their raised 3-panel bed with a custom mattress and memory foam topper. A 19-gallon freshwater tank feeds the rear exterior shower and the kitchen sink. Warm water comes from an Espar Hydronic Diesel Water Heating System, while hot cabin air is blown through a Webasto Air Top EVO 55 Diesel Heating System.

Harnessing the power of (2) Lithionics batteries creates a total of 630Ah. Oly additionally features a premium Magnum MS 2812 Inverter, 280XP wakespeed regulator, and a 140W rooftop solar panel. The roof also houses a Packasport 90XP box with cross bars. Continuing on the exterior, this van is stacked with a rear step bumper, Agile “No Rub” Front Tire Fender, Agile Off-Road Ride Improvement Package, plus Black Rhino Midhill 17″ wheels with Falken LT265/70R-17/10 WILD PEAK AT3W tires. Underneath, a 47-gallon replacement fuel tank means Oly can go for miles and miles without needing a gas station.
