Starfish Enterprise

Built for two *almost* empty nesters, Starfish Enterprise, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144 remains a whole family affair. When deciding on the important task of naming the van, they responded, “Our 16-year-old daughter came up with the name… She felt the name encompassed my love of marine invertebrates and our collective sci-fi nerdy-ness.” Excellent!

But what goes around, comes around. This compact and nimble build may be used “wherever she goes to university, we will park the van and camp right outside her dorm.” Considering its compact size but the fully loaded interior, we completely understand this being a possibility! We love to see the kitchen galley in the passenger slider. When traveling with family members, Starfish Enterprise is equipped with a Freedman Bellagio Foldaway Seat. This 2-Person Freeman seat with Fenton mounting allows for a foldaway DOT-approved seating option. The seat features 2 retractable seatbelts and one armrest and is covered in soft-touch black vinyl. A folding 3-panel bed sits between dual-sided flares. When the forwardmost panel is folded, dining accommodations at bench seats are easy to enjoy.

We’re unable to succinctly harness the power of Matter-Antimatter Warp Drive (yet). Starship Enterprise features a robust 630Ah lithium-ion system, a 2000W magnum inverter, a 280XP secondary alternator, and a 90W rooftop solar panel. The safari-style roof rack accommodates the Rigid Industries 50″ Radiance+ RDS LED Off-Road Light Bar with Amber Backlight, (2) 2×2 Rigid Radiance Back Lit roof mounts, and a 10’6” Fiamma awning. Completing this build is an Agile “No Rub” Front Tire Fender, Agile Off-Road Ride Improvement Package, upgraded 17” Warlord Grey Gunmetal 17″ Wheels and Toyo Open Country AT3 tires.
