Ouistiti (Pronounced Weesteetee): French name for a small monkey, or a family name for their littles!
Completed in 2022, Ouistiti, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170, has been a favorite build amongst staff to watch take shape. We’ve never built a van like this before and thoroughly enjoyed crafting every unique feature and detail! This family of four with two littles under the age of 3 are planning for an epic six-month adventure across the United States. Starting on the east coast, they’re looking forward to showing their children some of America’s national treasures. Using their roof rack to carry kayaks, exploring family-friendly towns where everyone can have fun on a hike, in the water, or relaxing at basecamp is a must. Look out Colorado, Utah, California and everywhere in-between!
Ouistiti features an Agile Off-Road Rip Kit, retractable running boards on both the driver’s door and passenger slider door, exterior utility ladder with bike mount, 13’ 2” Fiamma awning, slider door bug screen, safari roof rack, and lots of overhead LED illumination.
Both bunk beds were framed out of bamboo and hold their own custom mattress. The top bunk offers two ceiling lights with integrated dimmers while the lower bunk shines with a single corner light. One-of-a-kind curtains keep light out when it’s time to nap. For the adults, a three-panel bed system fits nicely in the back. When not needed, panels are removed opening a large dining space and two benches for quality family time. The galley kitchen features an upgraded, rectangular sink and faucet combo with drop in cutting board and induction stove. Snacks and drinks are easy to reach in the refrigerator.
Lithium batteries offer up 600Ah of power alongside a 2000W magnum inverter, and 280XP alternator kit to optimize charging while the motor is running. An Espar Hydronic Plus Evo 55 heating system runs on auxiliary power and pulls minimal fuel from the vehicle tank.
