“Leave the road, take the trails.” –Pythagoras

Rucksack, a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 170, was built for three entrepreneurs to utilize while traveling to and from work trips, leadership conferences, and speaking events. When not on the clock, this van is perfect for family getaways and much needed solo exploration.

One of the first things you’ll notice with Rucksack are a pair of premium JL Audio M3 Coaxial Speakers built into the passenger slider galley cabinet. These speakers work seamlessly with an upgraded JL Audio package supporting the entire build. For outdoor relaxation, a sliding bamboo table is great for holding drinks and snacks underneath a 13’ 2” Fiamma awning. The cabinet in the passenger slider also offers quick access to (1) 110V outlet, (1) USB/USB-C outlet, and an exterior shower connection. A 22-gallon freshwater system is easily warmed by an Espar Hydronic Diesel Heating System. Working with the Webastro Air Top EVO 40, staying warm in the coldest conditions is a breeze. They galley also features a Vitrifrigo refrigerator, induction stove, rectangular sink, and faucet.

Moving inside Rucksack, you’ll find lots of storage opportunities. An overhead cab shelf, enclosed overhead cabinetry, exoskeleton shelves, interior stuff sacks, and plenty of drawers in a floor-to-ceiling closet make sure everyone has space for their personal items, gear, and trinkets picked up while touring. For rest on the road, Rucksack features a raised 3-panel, fold over bed with a custom mattress. Flared bump out panels create additional east-to-west sleeping. A lower level sleeping platform is created when folding panels across the aisle between opposing dinette bench seats.

A big van with lots of features, Rucksack features 630Ah of lithium-ion battery power working with a 2000W magnum inverter, and 280XP Wakespeed secondary alternator. A 140W rooftop solar panel brings in an additional source of juice. Traveling to many destinations over various terrain, Rucksack is outfitted with an Agile Off-Road Ride Improvement Kit, Agile’s “No Rub” Front Tire Fender, upgraded BFGoodrich K02 tires, and 17” Black Rhino Warlord Wheels.
